Appointments are approximately 50 minutes
Appointments will include a thorough assessment followed by advice and a home activity program tailored to address parental and child functional goals. Assessment and treatment strategies are predominantly based around play activities and games. This may include indoor and outdoor play, visiting a local park, trampolining, bike or scooter riding, active technology based games or aquatic therapy.
Referrals:
You don't need a referral to attend our clinic.
If you do have a referral from a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, Paediatrician, Doctor, Allied Health professional or from the Royal Children's Hospital, please bring this to your appointment.
Home visits, park, child care or kindergarten visits:
Visits to children in their natural environments may be available to children with NDIS funding, living in the northern suburbs of Melbourne including Northcote, Clifton Hill, Fairfield, Alphington, Collingwood, Carlton, Fitzroy, Abbotsford, Brunswick, Thornbury, Preston, Reservoir and Ivanhoe. These are offered on weekdays only. A travel charge will be applicable.
Financial assistance:

Children eligible for NDIS funding are able to claim fees through the NDIS. Families must have self managed or plan managed funding. For more information, visit http://ndis.gov.au/.

Private health insurance rebates (physiotherapy extras) can be claimed.
